How to Download Pinterest Images in Full Original Resolution
Learn how to bypass web compression and retrieve pristine, uncompressed original images and infographics from Pinterest.
Key Takeaways
- Pinterest displays downscaled 736x preview images on boards.
- SaveVault targets the uncompressed "originals" asset URL stored on Pinterest CDN.
- Save high-resolution wallpapers, artwork, and infographics in crisp clarity.
When you right-click or long-press an image on Pinterest, you often only save the compressed preview asset (typically 736 pixels wide or smaller). This causes blurriness when used as desktop wallpapers or printed art.
Pinterest actually stores the full uncompressed master file on their media CDN servers under the "originals" folder.
SaveVault automatically queries Pinterest’s metadata to locate this maximum-resolution source asset. Simply paste any pin URL, and SaveVault extracts the original JPG or PNG image at 100% native quality.
